Roaring Twenties
What an incredible explosion of creativity the 1920s witnessed! Classical music experienced an unprecedented period of experimentation, branching out into neoclassicism and atonality, championing traditional and folk music, embracing jazz influences, and deepening the romantic and tonal traditions. The Engegård Quartet will be delving into some fabulous examples in the string quartet repertoire, and exploring the history and aftereffects of this tumultuous period.
